Seminar on recent changes in CBSE

A one day seminar on “Recent Developments / Changes in CBSE” for the principals and senior teachers of CBSE schools of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts was organised in our school on Monday, July 1.

Agnes Pereira, lecturer in Computer Science compered the inaugural ceremony which began with a prayer song. Principal Sr Melissa welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person Dr Arindam Roy Choudary, principal cum campus director, Kalpavriksha Model School, Belgaum, who was accorded a floral welcome by Vice Principal Sr Lidwyn Pinto.

As a symbolic gesture towards enlightenment, the dignitaries Dr Arindam Roy Choudary, Sr Marie Lucy, joint secretary of MCCS, principal Sr Melissa, former president of AICS Joy Rai and Anandi, secretary of AICS lit the lamp and inaugurated the seminar.

Sr Marie Lucy, joint secretary of the school, in her message expressed her pleasure on all the experts participating in the seminar.

The resource person Dr Arindam Choudary in his session highlighted that teaching should be student friendly. He spoke on the recent circulars of CBSE, highlighting the changes CBSE has brought in the curriculum and evaluation strategies. The sessions were made interesting by conducting interactions on topics like ‘Health and Physical Education,’ ‘Hub of Learning’ etc. and discussions among the groups.

At the end of the day, Joy Rai thanked the resource person, the principal for all the arrangements and the participants. A total of 78 delegates from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts participated in the seminar.
