Our Staff, Students & Parents Turn Gratitude into Giving during Season of Creation

Putting faith into action, our school turned gratitude into generosity through our special ‘Love Offering 2026’ initiative held during the Season of Creation and Nature Festivals.

Students, staff and parents from Nursery to Grade XII responded wholeheartedly to the call to share their blessings with the poor and needy. Essential provisions such as rice, coconuts, wheat flour, sugar, cereals, pulses and cooking oil, along with bakery products and toiletries, were collected in abundance. Several students, staff and parents also contributed financially, adding to the spirit of generosity.

The initiative went beyond material giving. Students of Grades X, XII and Carmel Blossoms visited various institutions, spending meaningful time with the inmates through lively programmes, conversations and personal interaction. They listened to their stories, shared moments of joy and offered comfort and companionship. For some of the kindergarten and junior students, the experience of visiting and sharing brought a meaningful introduction to the values of caring and generosity.

The offerings were shared with institutions serving vulnerable communities, including Sneha Sadan, Jeevadhan HIV and AIDS Rehabilitation Centre, Bhagini Samaj, St Antony’s Ashram, Mother Teresa’s Home, White Doves Home for the Destitutes, Little Sisters’ Home for the Aged, St Agnes Special School, Sanidhya Residential School for Special Children, Infant Jesus Children’s Home, Veronica Vihar for adults with disabilities and Paschim Charitable Institution, among others.

More than an act of charity, the ‘Love Offering 2026’ became a lesson in empathy, gratitude and human dignity. For the Mount Carmel family, sharing was a way of thanking God for His blessings while making those blessings meaningful in the lives of others.

The Season of Creation reminds us that everything we receive is a gift to be cherished and shared. When we share our blessings, we nurture not only people in need, but also a world rooted in compassion, gratitude and care.
