Visit of the Secretary, the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, Karnataka

Sr. Ida Barboza A.C. Secretary of the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, Karnataka paid her maiden visit to our school on January 27, 2017. She was warmly welcomed by the MCCS family at 8.40 a.m. in the open grounds with the host of students. Students of class VII C conducted the assembly on the open stage.

The students had the joy of greeting sister in an Indian traditional dance form, after which the Head Girl, Roshna Narayan of class X A extended further welcome with a bouquet of flowers. Principal, Sr. Melissa officially welcomed and introduced Sr. Ida Barboza to the gathering. An apt short skit “Jack the Hesitant Student” put up by the students enriched our minds.

Sr. Ida addressed the students and teachers with a smile. She stressed on the core value of the AC congregation and how we must imbibe them in our daily lives. Her thought provoking words will linger in the minds and hearts of students and staff for years to come.

She later took the initiative to observe the lessons of newly joined staff members. A constructive feedback was given to the individual concerned based on their performance. She took quality time to examine all the school related documents along with teachers’ lesson plans, record books, mark registers and attendance registers.

Sr. Ida Barboza officially met the faculty members at 3.00 p.m. in the conference room. She was warmly welcomed by the staff with Mrs. Vidya offering a floral welcome. Sr. Ida in her address appreciated the collaboration and selfless service rendered by the staff to elevate the name of this Institution. She also took the liberty to express her view point based on her observation of all the school proceedings.

Her constructive feedback highlighted the need of commitment in our profession. Mrs. Silvia, a senior staff member proposed the vote of thanks. The official visit ended with a fellowship tea party.
