Peace Day 2014

Peace Day 2014

“Peace creates grace and grace gives peace”. Gandhiji, the Father of our Nation believed in the goodness of children – “Children are innocent, loving and benevolent by nature”

The school observed the 66th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji on January 30, 2014.

Class IV A and ID had a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this day as the World Peace Day for India, which is also observed as the Martyr’s Day in India.

As the Father of our Nation – Mahatma Gandhiji said – “There is no path to Peace, Peace is the Path”.  The students put up a meaningful skit to show that Peace begins within us.  Each of us can make a difference to make ONE day of Peace. And once we have ONE day of Peace, we can keep peace every day of our lives, one day at a time.

Gandhiji’s principles of Nonviolence, Harmony, Equality, Peace and Brotherhood were beautifully conveyed by the students through skits, songs, dances and quotes.

To pay homage and respect to Mahatma Gandhiji, the School observed a moment’s silence at 11:00 am.

Every year January 30 is observed as World Peace Day for India; But for Peace, we need not wait for January 30 of every year, instead each of us need to make every day of our lives peaceful and joyful.
