29 Jul Our Budding Swimmer Alita Dsouza Wins Silver at CBSE South India Zone Championship
Alita DSouza, a student of Grade VI B of our school has brought laurels to the institution by securing the Silver Medal in the 50 Metres Backstroke in Under-14 Girls category at the CBSE South India Zone-II Swimming Championship 2026–27.
The event was held at Dr. Raju Davis International School, Mala, Kerala, from 25 to 29 July 2026, where talented swimmers from CBSE schools across South India competed for top honours. Alita’s exceptional performance earned her a well-deserved silver medal and a coveted place in the CBSE National Swimming Championship.
Alita is the daughter of Mr Thomas Praveen DSouza and Mrs Maria Lavina Rodrigues of Maryhill, Bondel. She is undergoing professional training under the expert guidance of Coach Lokaraj V.S. at the We One Aqua Centre, St. Aloysius Swimming Pool, Mangaluru. Her success is the result of her unwavering determination, disciplined training, and the constant encouragement and support of her coach, parents and the school.
Alita will participate at the CBSE National Swimming Championship, scheduled to be held at Oriental Public School, Bhopal, from 25 to 29 October 2026. The school is confident that she will continue her impressive form and make both the institution, her family and the coach proud on the national stage.
