Orientation programme held for class XI

The orientation programme is an opportunity for students to be introduced to the school and its resources that will help them to utilize them better. This academic year the orientation of class XI was organised on June 3, 2019. Mr. Manoj Lewis, lecturer, Govt. First Grade College, Kavoor was the chief guest. The programme began with an invocation followed by lighting of the lamp by chief guest, principal Sr. Melissa, administrator Sr. Carissima, the school topper for class X Jashan Chabra and one of the parents.  Sr. Melissa welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest to the audience.

Sr. Carissima addressed the students and highlighting the significance of hardwork and systematic study habits. She urged the students to focus on the all round development.

The Chief guest addressed the fresher’s of Class XI asking them “not to answer all the questions but to question the answers” Education must not be only for scoring high marks but the passion for knowledge should be the driving force. He highlighted the importance of effective communication between students and teachers and the right attitude. Mr. Manoj encouraged them to be proactive in all the extra-curricular activities and make the two years enjoyable and a memorable one.

He then introduced the various career options available for students through a power point presentation. He urged them to be ambitious and choose a field they are passionate about rather than being influenced by their peers and parents. He ensured the students that future holds a lot of opportunities for those who are ready to challenge their own limits and strive ahead with confidence.

Sr. Melissa then briefed the parents about the school, its motto, the courses offered, lecturers of class XI, lab facilities etc.

The best gift that can be given to any human being is a heart full of gratitude. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Priyanka, lecturer in chemistry. Ms.Caroline Mendonca, lecturer in physics emceed the programme.
