Vibrant Children’s Day 2018

A day free from lessons, assignments, tests etc. Students came to school dressed in vibrant clothes to celebrate this special day. The competitions – Folk dance for the juniors and Mad-ad for seniors were conducted in the morning.
After the competitions the students played games such as Antakshari and Dumb-charades, sang songs and spoke to their hearts content. It was a relaxing and fun departure from the monotonous daily routine. Post lunch break something exciting awaited the students, ‘Entertainment by their teachers’. The auditorium was buzzing with excitement in anticipation of the programme.

The programme commenced with a prayer song by the MCCS staff choir. The teachers dressed up as joker put up a humorous but heartwarming welcome dance. There were quite a few short jokes enacted in between and the students roared with laughter. The teachers danced to various songs, from classics to the latest Bollywood beats. The students cheered out loud as they enjoyed the superbly coordinated and synchronous dances.

The entire progarmme had a nostalgic theme as the teachers depicted school life through their various performances. There was a special video prepared with wishes from all the teachers. Mstr. Mahindra, the Head Boy proposed the vote of thanks, expressing his gratitude to all the teachers on behalf of the students for making this day a special Children’s Day. Sr. Preena and Ms. Vani compeered the programme. Sr. Mellissa wished the students on behalf of the management and the staff. She concluded with surprise, the mass dance!.

The students danced like there was no tomorrow. The dancing fever ended with the penguin dance. The staff put in an enormous effort into making this programme special for their students with love.
