Ramzan and Vanamahotsava 2014

Ramzan and Vanamahotsava was celebrated at Mount Carmel Central School with warmth and unity on July 28 in school campus.

The chanting and scripture readings from the Bible, Bhagavath Geetha and Kuran added gracefulness to the programme.

The meaning of the festival was brought out creatively through songs, dances and a skit by the students of class IX B and III A.

The Administrator of the school Sr. Carissima in her address highlighted the essential elements of the festival viz peace, unity, compassion and forgiveness convincing the audience of the spiritual aspect of this festival.

The Principal wished the students belonging to Muslim community and their families the joys and blessings of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

The members of the Eco Club also celebrated the Vanamahotsava, creating awareness among the students to preserve, conserve and nurture the plant life. Symbolically 2 saplings were planted by the office bearers of the Eco club and the students were motivated to plant saplings in their houses.
